Full job description

Excellent opportunity for a Vigilance Specialist to join a MedTech company in Galway. The Vigilance Specialist will monitor drug and medical device safety, manage adverse event reports and safety data, and ensure accurate, timely regulatory reporting and compliance.

Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)

  • Coordinate complaint handling activities across medical device products.
  • Document and manage incoming product complaints.
  • Support investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant MDR reporting.
  • Respond to regulatory queries relating to complaints.
  • Support risk and health hazard assessments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:

  • Level 8 degree in Engineering, Science, Clinical, Legal or related field.
  • 1–2 years’ relevant MedTech experience preferred.
  • Strong teamwork, communication and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and decision-making ability.
  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
  • Strong focus on patient safety, quality and customer service.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
