Job Description:

One Arena is looking for a Personal Trainer to join our coaching team in Cork.

We currently have permanent coaching hours available across our Pouladuff Road and Passage West clubs. Depending on the successful candidate’s availability, the position may be based primarily at one club or include an agreed combination of both locations.

Your regular hours, primary location and working schedule will be agreed before you start.

This is an employed coaching position, not a self-employed rental arrangement.

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality small-group personal training sessions.
• Coach members of different ages, abilities and experience levels.
• Welcome and support new members during their onboarding.
• Build strong and genuine relationships with members.
• Complete member check-ins, progress reviews and goal-setting conversations.
• Support member attendance, engagement and retention.
• Help members train safely, consistently and confidently.
• Maintain excellent coaching, cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Complete agreed member-care and administrative responsibilities.
• Participate in regular coaching feedback, training and CPD.
• Contribute positively to the One Arena team and club culture.

Previous experience is beneficial, but attitude, reliability and the ability to connect with people are equally important to us.

Candidates accepting Passage West hours must have a reliable way of travelling to that club for all agreed shifts.

Previous personal training, group coaching, sports coaching or customer-facing experience is preferred but not essential. We will consider an exceptional newly qualified coach with strong communication skills, professionalism and a genuine willingness to learn.

Pay: €17.00-€20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
