Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Welcome guests in a warm and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve minor complaints professionally.
  • Ensure guests receive a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Set up and prepare service areas before each shift.
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of menus, daily specials, allergens, and beverage offerings.
  • Process payments and operate the POS system accurately.
  • Assist with bar service, including the preparation of teas, coffees, and beverages where required.
  • Ensure tables are cleared and reset promptly.

Operational Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all service areas.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Assist with stock rotation and replenishment.
  • Support conference, banqueting, and event operations as required.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.

Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all departments.
  • Support supervisors and management in achieving departmental goals.
  • Assist in training and supporting new team members where appropriate.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude during busy service periods.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a Food & Beverage role.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation.

Desirable

  • Experience in hotel food and beverage operations.
  • Barista experience.
  • Bar service experience.
  • Knowledge of food allergens and food safety practices.
  • Experience using POS systems.
