We are seeking an experienced and energetic Café Manager to lead our city centre cafe operation. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

As Café Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the café, ensuring smooth operations, high service standards, strong team performance, and excellent food and beverage quality. You will lead and motivate a large team while maintaining an efficient, welcoming, and profitable operation. You will have strong interest in food and have the ability to develop and cost new food items.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage daily café operations in a high-volume environment

· Lead, train, and develop front-of-house and supervisory staff

· Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction

· Manage staff scheduling, rostering, and labour costs

· Monitor stock levels, ordering, and supplier relationships

· Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and presentation

· Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally

· Work closely with kitchen and senior management teams

· Drive sales, efficiency, and operational performance

· Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations

What We’re Looking For

· At least 3 years previous experience managing a similar cafe

· Previous experience managing a busy café, restaurant, or hospitality venue

· Strong leadership and team management skills

· Excellent communication and organisational abilities

· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting

· Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills

· Experience with staff training, scheduling, and stock control

· Passion for hospitality and customer service
