Daytime Bar & Coffee Host – Bishopstown, Cork

Do you love bringing people together over a great coffee, a tasty lunch, or a friendly pint? Bishopstown Bar & Restaurant is looking for a warm, switched-on Daytime Bar & Coffee Host to be the friendly face of our daytime trade!

About Us

We're a proper local — the kind of place where regulars are treated like family and new faces quickly feel like they belong. Through the day, our bar comes alive with a lovely mix of locals, students, and the corporate world popping in for lunch, coffee, or a catch-up. We're proud of the warm, welcoming atmosphere we've built, and we're looking for someone who'll help keep that spirit going strong.

The Role

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9.30am – 3pm – great working hours that fit around your life
  • Looking after our fabulous daytime customers — community regulars, students, and the corporate community — with lunches, coffees, and drinks
  • Being the go-to person who keeps the daytime shift running smoothly and with a smile
  • Working as part of a supportive team

What We're Looking For

  • A genuinely friendly, welcoming personality
  • Someone confident behind a bar and comfortable making a great coffee
  • A natural at looking after customers and making everyone feel at home
  • Reliable, organised, and happy to take a bit of ownership of the daytime shift
  • Bar or hospitality experience is a bonus, but the right attitude comes first

What You'll Get

  • Fantastic daytime hours, Monday to Friday — your evenings and weekends stay yours
  • A friendly team who genuinely enjoy working together
  • A real sense of belonging in a bar that's at the heart of the Bishopstown community
  • The opportunity to grow with us as the role develops

If you'd love daytime hours, brilliant colleagues, and a job where every day brings a friendly face through the door, we'd love to hear from you!
