Career Vision Recruiters are seeking an experienced and charismatic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the leadership team of a high-end dining operation renowned for exceptional guest experiences, outstanding service standards, and a strong food and wine offering.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate hospitality professional with a genuine love of wine, exceptional people skills, and proven experience supervising or managing busy, high-volume restaurant departments. The Role

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will support the day-to-day operation of a premium dining venue, ensuring guests receive an exceptional and memorable experience. You will play a key role in team leadership, staff development, wine sales, service delivery, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example, delivering outstanding guest service at all times.
  • Inspire, motivate, train, and develop team members to achieve the highest service standards.
  • Drive wine sales through confident recommendations and strong product knowledge.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of food, wine, and beverage offerings, including pairing recommendations.
  • Support the smooth and efficient running of daily restaurant operations.
  • Coordinate service teams to ensure a seamless guest experience during busy service periods.
  • Anticipate guest needs and resolve issues professionally and effectively.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with confidence and discretion.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and workforce planning to maintain service excellence.
  • Ensure all health, safety, hygiene, and compliance standards are consistently upheld.
  • Support stock control, inventory management, and financial performance objectives.

About You

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a supervisory or management role within fine dining, luxury hospitality, or a high-volume premium restaurant environment.
  • A charismatic and engaging hospitality professional with a natural ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Passionate about wine, food, and exceptional service.
  • Strong wine knowledge with proven experience in wine sales and upselling; Sommelier qualifications are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated success leading, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • Calm, professional, and solutions-focused under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional standards.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting revenue growth and cost control initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general hospitality systems.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Impeccable presentation and professional grooming standards.
