Full job description

Why Bovinity?

Bovinity isn’t your dad’s white-tablecloth steakhouse. We’re the place where marbled rib-eyes hit cast iron, cocktails come with attitude, and service feels more like hosting your friends’ dinner party than performing a script.

We’re looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor who can lead a busy service, keep standards high and still bring some personality to the room. You’ll work closely with management, take ownership of the floor and make sure the team—and the guests—are properly looked after.

What You’ll Do

  • Run the room. Lead the floor during service, manage sections and keep everything moving.
  • Set the tone. Lead briefings, allocate the team and make sure everyone knows the plan.
  • Talk steak without the snobbery. Dry-aged, grass-fed, bone-in—we’ll teach you the nerdy bits, but experience and genuine interest help.
  • Read the room. Spot the birthday, the breakup, the awkward first date and the table that needs another drink before they do.
  • Lead from the floor. Support the team, jump into sections and never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself.
  • Fix the f—ups. Handle complaints, booking issues and the occasional POS meltdown with calm, charm and common sense.
  • Keep standards sharp. Service, presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail all matter.
  • Back your crew. Train new staff, give clear direction and make sure nobody drowns alone.
  • Open and close properly. Cash handling, end-of-night procedures, checklists and leaving the place ready for the next day.

Must-Haves

  • Previous experience as a supervisor, senior server or team leader in a busy restaurant.
  • Confident, friendly communicator with fluent English.
  • Comfortable giving direction and making decisions during service.
  • Calm under pressure. Peak Saturday doesn’t faze you.
  • Reliable, organised and available nights and weekends.
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
  • A genuine interest in food, wine, cocktails and hospitality.

Benefits

  • Tips paid weekly and pooled by the hour worked.
  • Nightly staff dinner and 40% staff discount.
  • Training in food, steak, wine and cocktails.
  • Camaraderie, shift beers, supplier tastings and the occasional oyster-shucking speed challenge.
  • Real opportunity to progress within the business.
