Full job description
Marlfield House is an award winning 26 bedroom country house hotel with 2 restaurants situated on 36 acres of gardens just outside the busy town of Gorey, in Co Wexford. Currently recruiting an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join our small, friendly hotel team. The role includes overseeing front of house operations, supporting our cocktail bar and restaurant service, and assisting with front office duties when required.
The ideal candidate will be organised, customer-focused, and comfortable leading a team in a busy hospitality environment. Previous hotel or hospitality management experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.

Skills required:
- Previous hotel, bar, or restaurant supervisory/management experience
- Strong front of house and guest relations skills
- Experience managing busy restaurant and cocktail bar service
- Good knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality standards
- Ability to lead, motivate, and support a small team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience with reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and general front office duties
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems efficiently
- Flexible approach to shifts, weekends, and busy service periods
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and customer service focus
- Cash handling and end-of-day reporting experience preferred
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Knowledge of hotel booking systems/POS systems an advantage
Pay: €38,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
