Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel is looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, ensuring floors are free from debris and spillages at all times.
• Follow direction from chefs as required, providing support during service.
• Conduct deep cleans of the kitchen according to the established cleaning schedule.
• Operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring a steady supply of clean crockery, cutlery, and kitchenware.
• Handle heavy-duty pot wash and assist with putting away deliveries and properly storing stock.
• Manage food waste, regularly changing bins, and ensuring kitchen equipment is in working order.
• Adhere to all food hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role within a catering or busy kitchen environment preferred.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A personable demeanour and professional presentation.
• Experience with cleaning systems and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ability to adapt to new environments, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Must have a valid work permit to work in Ireland.

Work Schedule: This role requires flexibility, with shifts including evenings and weekends.
