Full job description

Interlude Restaurant is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team.

The role will primarily involve keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly, while also providing support to the chefs with basic food preparation when required.

Main Responsibilities

* Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment

* Keeping kitchen, washing-up and storage areas clean and organised

* Cleaning floors, work surfaces and kitchen equipment

* Emptying bins and correctly managing waste and recycling

* Ensuring cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the shift

* Receiving and putting away deliveries when required

* Assisting chefs with basic food preparation, such as peeling and chopping vegetables and preparing simple ingredients

* Helping with general kitchen duties during busy service periods

* Following food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures

* Working efficiently as part of the kitchen team

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

* Reliable, punctual and hardworking

* Comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment

* Able to work well as part of a team

* Organised and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness

* Willing to learn and help with food preparation

* Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential, as training can be provided
