Job Title: Sous Chef

About Us
Quirc Café & Restaurant is an independent, growing food business in the heart of Straffan village. We are building a fresh, seasonal, quality-driven kitchen with a strong focus on flavour, presentation, and consistency. We are looking for a talented Sous Chef who takes pride in their craft and enjoys working in a professional but supportive environment.

The Role
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering high-quality dishes for day and evening service. This is a great opportunity to join a developing concept and contribute to menu creativity and standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run and maintain your section to a high standard
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes consistently and efficiently
  • Support daily prep and service across café and restaurant menus
  • Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Assist with stock control and waste management
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
  • Contribute ideas to seasonal menu development

Requirements

  • Previous experience as Sous Chef
  • Good all-round cooking skills and kitchen organisation
  • Calm and efficient under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and presentation
  • Positive attitude and team-focused approach
  • Food safety training

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €38,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
