Full job description

We are currently recruiting for Full Time and Part Time Waiting Staff to join our new café opening soon in Ardclough, Straffan, Co. Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy daytime café which will be serving a very fresh, modern offering.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer great customer service by warmly welcoming customers, taking orders, addressing inquiries, and ensuring everyone leaves with a smile
  • Set up tables ensuring they are clean, properly set, and ready for service
  • Take customer orders, providing recommendations and answering any questions about the menu they may have
  • Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring that all orders are delivered to the correct tables
  • Check back with guests to ensure they are satisfied
  • Handling cash and card transactions and operating the tills accurately
  • Clear tables promptly after customers have finished their meals, preparing the area for the next customers
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including food safety standards
  • Ensure that all work areas, café tables, and kitchen, are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operation, especially during peak times
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, ingredients, and allergens, to assist customers

Requirements:

  • Previous work experience as Waiting Staff beneficial
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team
  • Knowledge of HACCP and other food safety standards
