Salary: €50,000 plus performance-related bonus of up to €10,000
OTE: €60,000

About the role

McArdle Adventure Group is seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across our portfolio of adventure, tourism, accommodation, education and leisure businesses.

Chiefly based in Carlingford, Co. Louth, you will manage a multi-location sales team, including team members based remotely. Some travel to our operations in Avondale, Co. Wicklow, and Castlewellan, Co. Down, will be required.

Working closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and senior leadership, you will develop new business, strengthen key client relationships and improve sales performance across Carlingford Adventure Centre, Skypark Carlingford, Carlingford Holiday Homes, Treetop Walk Avondale and our developing Castlewellan operation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across the Group.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a multi-location team of employed and contracted sales professionals.
  • Set and monitor individual and team targets, sales pipelines and performance.
  • Develop new business across education, youth, family, corporate, group, accommodation and tourism markets.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and grow retention, repeat business and account value.
  • Produce accurate sales forecasts, reports and commercial analysis.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Customer Service and Operations to improve sales processes and the overall customer experience.
  • Support strategic accounts and high-value bookings.
  • Represent McArdle Adventure Group at relevant trade shows, conferences and industry events.

About you

You will be a commercially focused sales leader with:

  • Proven experience in sales leadership, business development or account management.
  • A strong record of achieving sales targets and delivering revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership and people-management skills, including managing team members remotely.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing pipelines, forecasts and performance data.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, organised and results-focused approach.
  • Experience using CRM or sales-management systems.

Experience in tourism, hospitality, education travel, leisure, accommodation or adventure tourism would be advantageous.

Working arrangements

This is a full-time position chiefly based in Carlingford, Co. Louth.

The role involves a combination of office-based work, customer engagement and field sales activity. Some travel to the Group’s locations in Avondale, Co. Wicklow, and Castlewellan, Co. Down, as well as external client meetings, will be required.

Occasional evening and weekend work may also be necessary to support trade events, exhibitions, client visits and business-development activities.
