Full job description

Are you a proactive, experienced professional looking to take the next step in your security career?

At MCR Group, we are proud to be one of Ireland’s leading providers of integrated services. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and proactive Security Operations Supervisor to join our expanding Munster operations team.

This is an exciting full-time, permanent position based in Cork, offering the chance to work across a variety of high-profile sites in the Munster region. You’ll play a critical role in supporting frontline teams, maintaining service standards, and ensuring compliance and operational continuity.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a field-based, hands-on leadership role. Your day will be varied – from conducting site visits and supporting security personnel, to coordinating with internal departments on audits, rostering, and training delivery.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Site Operations & Oversight;

  • Carry out regular and spot-check site visits to ensure contract standards are met and exceeded.
  • Be the primary point of contact for escalations, incidents, or urgent service delivery needs.
  • Build strong working relationships with staff, clients, and stakeholders across the region.

Compliance & Documentation;

  • Maintain accurate digital records, including RAMS, SOPs, licenses, and reports for each site.
  • Prepare and support both internal and external audits to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Promote best practices in health & safety, risk management, and regulatory adherence.

Training & Development;

  • Deliver training and upskilling sessions (e.g., manual handling, site inductions).
  • Ensure staff training is tracked, up to date, and aligned with company standards.
  • Mentor team members and support individual development paths.

Operational & Roster Support;

  • Assist in scheduling and shift planning, particularly during peak periods or absences.
  • Support the delivery of high-quality service during transitions, new site setups, or client expansions.
  • Provide cover for operational leaders as required.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking someone who is organised, adaptable, and confident in making operational decisions on the ground. You’ll be a key link between frontline staff and the wider management team.

Essential:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a field-based supervisory, security, or operational support role.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Strong IT literacy and ability to maintain digital records accurately.
  • Full, clean driving license – willingness to travel regularly within Munster.

Desirable:

  • Manual Handling Instructor Certificate (or willing to complete training).
  • Experience with rostering tools such as Timegate or similar.
  • Background in managing multiple locations or dispersed teams.

What You’ll Get in Return

At MCR Group, we believe in supporting our people with the tools and trust they need to grow and thrive. For the right candidate, we offer:

  • Base Salary: Starting from €38,000 per annum
  • Company Vehicle & Fuel Card
  • Laptop & Company Mobile Phone
  • Career progression pathways across MCR Group nationwide
  • Ongoing training, development, and support
  • A collaborative and people-first team culture
