Full job description

About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Programme Afterschool Assistant for services in Kileagh, Kilcreden, Inch and Lismore. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day activities in a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Supervise children during activities and free play.
  • Assist with homework and educational tasks.
  • Engage children in a variety of planned indoor and outdoor activities each day.
  • Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a positive experience for all children.

Requirements:

  • Ability to speak basic to intermediate Irish (required).
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with school-aged children is preferred.
  • SNA experience or qualification required.
