Full job description

Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder is a warm, welcoming bar in the heart of Killarney, home to Ireland’s largest whiskey collection, with around 1,000 Irish whiskeys alongside an impressive selection from around the world.

We’re passionate about great drinks, great food and great service, while staying at the forefront of Ireland’s growing artisan drinks scene. Alongside our extensive whiskey collection, we offer a fantastic range of Irish gins, craft beers, wines and cocktails, as well as locally sourced, bistro-style food served daily from 1pm–9pm.

Our seasonal menus showcase the best of the produce available in Kerry, with a focus on fresh, quality ingredients and a distinctly Irish dining experience.

We’re looking for a full-time Floor Staff/Bar Tender member to join our team. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, hardworking and genuinely enjoys creating a great experience for customers.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous waiting or bar experience is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A warm, outgoing and approachable personality.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to stay calm and efficient during busy periods.
  • Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Confidence working with large groups and in a busy hospitality environment.

Knowledge of Irish whiskey, craft beer, cocktails or wine would be a bonus, but it’s definitely not essential. Full training will be provided.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, eager to learn and wants to develop their skills in a busy, independent hospitality environment.

If you’re passionate about hospitality and enjoy working with people, we’d love to hear from you.
