Job Title: Corporate Services - IT Specialist
Department: ICT / Corporate Services
Reporting to: ICT Manager
Location: Brunell Building, Heuston South Quarter, Dublin 8/ Hybrid (Post Probation)
Contract: Permanent, subject to a six-month probationary period
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: €66,122 – €75,231 (commensurate with experience)

About ICT Services
ICT within Oaklee is responsible for ensuring that Oaklee systems, data, and technology are secure, reliable, and fit for purpose to support day-to-day operations and long-term organisational goals. The ICT function provides the tools and support required for staff to work effectively, while maintaining strong controls around data protection, cyber security, and system access. All staff play a role in this by using technology responsibly, protecting information, and following Oaklee’s ICT and security policies to safeguard our systems, tenants’ data, and the organisation as a whole.
The Role
Reporting to the ICT Manager, IT Specialist – Data & Business Systems will support, develop, and optimise the organisation’s data, reporting, and business application platforms. This is very much customer facing role and requires strong analytical capability, with a customer centric attitude, experience with Microsoft-based technologies, housing and property management systems, ideally ActiveH and the ability to support digital transformation initiatives across Oaklee. They will also support the delivery of user training, documentation, and continuous learning initiatives to drive effective adoption and optimisation of systems and data tools across the organisation
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering data insights, supporting core systems, and enabling the business to make informed, data-driven decisions
Key Responsibilities
Data & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Power BI across all departments
- Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems
- Support data modelling and transformation activities
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports
- Standardise reporting across departments
Business Systems Support
- Provide support and administration for Microsoft Dynamics (or equivalent CRM/ERP platform)
- Provide support and administration for our HMPS & Business Central
- Assist with system configuration, upgrades, and integrations
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in line with service levels
Data Governance
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with GDPR
- Promote structured data capture and audit readiness
- Document processes, system configurations, and data flows for audit and compliance purposes
- Support IT governance, security policies, and data protection requirements (including GDPR)
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across IT and business operations
Training & Support
- Deliver user training and guidance materials
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting:
- Continuous improvement in identifying and implementing system enhancements
- Support digital transformation initiatives
Essential Requirements
Proven experience with:
- Power BI (dashboard development and data modelling)
- Microsoft Dynamics (or similar business system)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Good understanding of data structures and reporting frameworks
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Providing end-user support and training, including troubleshooting system issues and improving user adoption
- Participating in or supporting system implementation, upgrades, or migration projects (e.g. desktop-to-web transitions
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to gather requirements, resolve issues, and improve system usage
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in housing or public sector
- SQL or data integration knowledge
- Experience working with housing and property management systems, within a social housing, Approved Housing Body (AHB), or local authority environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of core housing processes including tenancy management, rent accounts, repairs, allocations, and asset management
- Experience using housing management systems such as ActiveH.
