Full job description

As a Manager at Trough Café, you'll play a vital role in our team, crafting delightful treats and ensuring our customers leave with smiles. With your love for coffee and knack for multitasking, you'll brew up a storm while also assisting in various café tasks. Your passion, attention to detail, and dedication will help maintain our café's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities:

Beverage Preparation: Expertly prepare a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, adhering to our recipes and standards to consistently deliver top-notch quality and taste.
Food Preparation Assistance: Assist in preparing simple food items and snacks as needed, ensuring they meet our café's standards of freshness and presentation.
Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient service to customers, taking orders accurately and addressing any inquiries or special requests with a smile.
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the café area clean and tidy throughout your shift, including wiping down counters, tables, and equipment, and promptly disposing of waste.
Inventory Management: Help monitor stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other consumables, and communicate with management to replenish supplies as needed.
Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions accurately, processing payments and providing customers with receipts promptly and courteously.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other café staff to ensure smooth operations, supporting each other during busy periods and communicating effectively to maintain a positive work environment.
Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Manager or in a similar role within a café or hospitality setting, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and familiarity with espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently to meet customer demands.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and collaborate with team members.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate café hours.
