About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support our finance function and general office operations. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with systems, while also being practical and flexible in a busy environment. This role offers the opportunity to grow with the business and play a key part in supporting both finance and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process sales and purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes where applicable
  • Record and allocate payments and receipts
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Support payroll processing, including time and attendance information
  • Prepare monthly time-keeping, cost, and job cost reports using the current Vantage system
  • Assist with month-end reporting and basic financial analysis
  • Monitor and manage petty cash
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management as required
  • Prepare and issue quotations
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding invoices and queries
  • Maintain accurate financial records, filing systems, and staff training records
  • Organise weekly accommodation bookings for site crews
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance team and wider office

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance or administrative role
  • Comfortable using standard office systems and software
  • Willingness to learn and help improve internal processes
  • Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Well organised, reliable and proactive
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Clear and professional communication skills

Work Environment

  • Office-based role in Carndonagh, Co. Donegal
  • Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 2:00pm Friday
  • Salary based on experience
