Full job description
The Institute of Eye Surgery is a growing organisation and is Ireland’s only network of clinics offering all ocular subspecialties under one roof. With sites in Waterford, Kildare, Westmeath and Cork, IOES provides expert care in cataracts, glaucoma, medical retina, vitreoretinal, corneal refractive, ocular surface disease, oculoplastics, paediatrics, neuro-ophthalmology and aesthetics. We're currently seeking an IT Coordinator who will oversee the company's IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their smooth operation and providing technical support to employees. They will also develop and implement IT policies and procedures and work closely with the outsourced IT helpdesk to identify and resolve IT-related issues throughout the organisation.
While primarily based at IOES Clane, this role will involve travel to all IoES locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional and efficient level 1-2 IT services to all internal stakeholders and locations within IOES.
- Log all reported incidents from various channels, including phone, email, and direct contact.
- Conduct first-line triage of all incidents and resolve level 1 issues in a timely manner, escalating to the outsourced IT helpdesk when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the outsourced IT helpdesk to optimize IT service delivery across the organisation.
- Manage service delivery from third-party hardware and software providers.
- Monitor and track all incidents until completion, reporting on key IT metrics to management weekly and monthly.
- Proactively identify recurring issues and work with the outsourced IT helpdesk and third-party providers to resolve them.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations efficiency through technology, and work with management to implement related projects as needed.
- Stay current with new technologies and recommend upgrades or changes to existing systems to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Attend management meetings on a weekly basis in Waterford
- Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Full clean driving licence

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €35,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
