Energywise Ireland is a renewable energy company delivering sustainable energy solutions across Ireland. We specialise in domestic, commercial and community energy projects, supporting the transition to cleaner, more efficient energy systems. We are recuriting a Window Fitter to support the continued growth of the company.

The Window Fitter will be responsible for the installation, replacement, and finishing of windows and associated joinery as part of Energywise Ireland’s One Stop Shop (OSS) home energy retrofit projects. This role plays a key part in improving the energy efficiency, comfort, and performance of domestic homes undergoing deep retrofit works.

You will work on occupied and unoccupied homes, ensuring all installations meet SEAI standards, manufacturer specifications, and Energywise Ireland’s quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and replace windows, glazing units, and associated components as part of retrofit upgrade works
  • Ensure all installations meet airtightness, insulation, and thermal performance requirements
  • Remove existing windows safely and with minimal disruption to the homeowner
  • Carry out sealing, finishing, and trim work to a high standard
  • Work closely with the retrofit team to coordinate installation schedules
  • Conduct on‑site measurements and verify specifications prior to installation
  • Identify and report any structural or technical issues that may impact installation
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with Health & Safety regulations
  • Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied homes
  • Complete required documentation, including installation checklists and quality sign‑off

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Window Fitter, Carpenter, or similar trade
  • Strong knowledge of window installation techniques, sealing systems, and finishing
  • Experience working on domestic retrofit or construction projects (advantageous)
  • Understanding of airtightness principles and thermal bridging
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Safe Pass (required)
  • Manual Handling certification (required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
