Full job description

We are recruiting for the role of a Full time Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team in the Cork International Hotel located in Cork Airport Business Park.


As a member of our Food & Beverage team, you will help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our guests while maintaining the high standards of the Trigon Hotel Group.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Reporting for duty on time and wearing the correct uniform.
  • Preparing the restaurant and service areas before each shift.
  • Setting tables according to the required standards.
  • Ensuring service stations are clean, organised, and fully stocked.
  • Preparing mise en place for upcoming shifts.
  • Serving food and beverages in the restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, and banqueting areas.
  • Taking guest orders, processing billing, and completing end-of-shift cash-ups.
  • Providing professional and friendly service during events and functions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in all Food & Beverage areas.
  • Assisting with linen stock control and general tidiness of the working areas.
  • Communicating hotel services and facilities to guests when required.
  • Responding to guest queries or concerns in a professional manner and reporting them to management.
  • Ensuring guests' needs are met and delivering excellent customer service at all times.


Health, Safety & Standards


  • Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and grooming in line with company guidelines.
  • Following all hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Reporting accidents, incidents, or damage where necessary.
  • Ensuring fire exits and routes remain clear at all times.
  • Participating in fire drills and safety procedures.


Team & Development


  • Attending departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Supporting your colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Carrying out any additional duties assigned by management to support the smooth running of the department.
