Full job description

Restaurant - Front of House

Commencing June 2026

This summer we are opening Omos - a 16-bedroom guesthouse and 40-seat restaurant set on 4.2 acres just outside the heritage town of Abbeyleix, County Laois. The name Omos - meaning honour, duty, and respect - reflects our intention behind this project: to create something lasting and meaningful; something with soul. We are building a Guesthouse and Restaurant that feel like they belong, reflecting on our neighbourhood and community, and that generously welcome curiosity, craft, and discovery.

Here at Omos, we pride ourselves on our standards, uniqueness, and our guest experience. We are now assembling our Front of House service team - experienced Chef de Rangs who see service as their primary craft.

Omos moves as one - blending the kitchen and dining room. Chef de Rangs will serve guests in collaboration with our Chefs, translating the story of the land, the ingredients, and the fire with intent, clarity, and care.

There will be one Restaurant sitting a day; Tuesday to Saturday and a lunch sitting on a Saturday.

The Role:

Reporting to our Restaurant Manager, you will be a dedicated hospitality professional with proven experience in high-quality dining.

Alongside your experience, we seek Chef de Rangs who are kind, organised, those who enjoy a collaborative environment, wish to grow and have meticulous attention to detail.

What we are seeking:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a high-quality hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • Strong attention to detail, a commitment to service excellence and a person who enjoys working a part of a team.
  • A warm, friendly, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude. A person who can respond to a range of different work situations.

In return; when you join Omos, you will be joining a workplace that is nourishing, respectful, and inspiring. As part of our team at Omos you can expect:

  • A 4-day work week
  • One service per day with a dinner service and lunch only on a Saturday
  • Closed for Christmas and closed for month of January
  • Generous salary and benefits including tip distribution
  • An amazing daily staff meal
  • A dedicated staff lounge with a kitchen and views of the market garden
  • On-site showers for your comfort
  • A culture grounded in respect, kindness, and professionalism
  • A project surrounded by nature, celebrating Irish craft and contemporary design
  • Regular guest speakers and collaborative events
